Whether you agree with Russia's recent action or not, you must admit that Bush and Cheney are the LAST TWO FUCKING PEOPLE ON EARTH who should be preaching about invading sovereign nations, supporting separatist movements, and pontificating on what is and is not acceptable in the 21st century. If there are any Russians on this board, I would just like to say that Mr. Bush does not speak for me or any other American I know.

If there are any Georgians here, I'm very sorry for your troubles, but you need to understand that, right or wrong, you CANNOT win a war against Russia, and there is NOTHING the US can do to change that short of WWIII. Speaking only for myself, I am just not willing to leave my family and go fight WWIII over some tiny insignificant territory that has expressed its wish to leave Georgia. And if you wish to force the issue, I can tell honestly that NATO will not save you. So just let them go.

They've been trying to leave for like 90 years now. It's like Georgia just doesn't get it.

lol the ignorance is astounding. Georgia has been a country for how long? (hint: wikipedia has the information you require)
