One of the biggest shocks for me since getting tossed out of Russia four years ago was coming back to an America that’s taking on Russia’s worst traits: oligarchy, inequality, a two-tier justice system depending on your wealth.
Now that Romney and his financial backers are openly pressuring company employees to vote for Romney, add "Putin-style elections" to the list of Russian traits America is acquiring.

What do you think?

I don't think that means what you think it means.

While not illegal it is slimy as can be to tell your employees that if your guy doesn't win they will all pay for it. Or put more bluntly put the bosses needs above yours or there will be consequences.

Just another example of how we are in a plutocracy where the wealthy have an incredibly inequitable amount of say in the running of this government and if the peons don't fall in line there will be hell to pay.

I think the rich elite have ruled the United States since the first rich elite president - who happened to be George Washington. Obama's net worth of about $12 million puts him clearly in that same category.

So we have someone who owns thier own company.
This owner understands the costs he will face when he is hit with new obamacare expenses.
This owner understands his business and his profit margins.
This owner tells his employee that if Obama is re-elected he will surely not be able to continue with business as normal and that positions will be lost because of it.
This somehow makes the owner a Soviet Putin look alike?

rudder,

KGB owns Russia. Putin was from 19 years old KGB chosen one. Now, Time Present. 41+ years later... If you deal with KGB, you need to understand unwritten rules. :whiste:

The flaw in the reasoning is this. Obama is the president now. To say that having him continue as president would put undue pressure on current employers ability to continue to employ the same employees is ridiculous. Obviously he is finding it profitable now, why should that change.

What would change is how profit margins would rise for those strongarming employers who would exploit any and all regulatory cutbacks that Romney/Ryan would employ with glee, all to the disadvantage and demise of the consumer at large and the employees suffering under such style of intimidative management.

Without regulatory controls keeping those predatory shysters at bay, we'd be suffering the same problems China is going through having their products considered universally suspect and looked at with dispersion.

All profit, no pride. What has the US of A come to?
