put my used memory foam mattress on craigslist for free yesterday...

this is unbelievable i put up a used full size mattress on craigslist for free(as long as you pick up) and got 110+ emails about it so far. some of these emails are funny, everyone was 'thier sad story' for needing the bed.

'im disabled, current bed is hurting back'
'im sleeping on the floor because i have no mattress'
'need mattress for my son but dont have money to buy new one;
'would like mattress for my boat'
'mother in law coming in town could sure use it'
'single mom lost everything, starting over'


some guy even wrote he needed it for a valentines day project he was working on, something about laying roses on the bed😀 i was thinking about emailing all of them back asking to be at my apt at a specific time, watching a crowd gather and then tossing the mattress off my balcony and see who gets it.

honestly i did not think anyone was going to want it, im surprised i recieved this many emails for it. its just a mattress and its2 years old

I thought the memory foam was really heavy? But either way, I think that would be a funny thing to watch... or at least until the disable guy got trampled to death...

Yea I put up a free mattress and had over 20 and it was just a regular single one, nothing special.

I gave it to the first person who could come that day. he gave some stry about his kids and such but i thought it was fake. Then when i helped him put it in top of his mini-van 2 kids leaned out the friont windown and said "is this out new bed..." the dad said yea and they both went YEA!!! i just thought this si what Lisa and Bart would look like in real like... that and if black also.

You never know how good you have it till you see that something like a old mattress is like christmas to a kid.

Every so often i get CL lowballers with sob stories, especially for videogames and/or high end computers (aka how about $200 for your $1K mac laptop, I'm a broke X and really need it for Y)
