put in wrong resolution-now can"t see anything

was trying to get grandaughter's screen to show up better and changed the resolution too much now can"t see anything and don"t have disk to recovery, running windows xp. I can hit delete while starting but don"t know what to change to get it back to where it was any help before I take it to shop will will be great, jaycee

If you would have waited 15 seconds after you changed it, it might have reverted through windows "are you sure" dialogue. Not sure what you can do now, other than hooking it up to a monitor that supports that resolution and changing it lower.

pressing F8 will bring up the advanced boot options, then start up in safe mode and you can reset the settings
