Russia - so long as you don't question anything, you'll be fine!
They are unfortunately rather third-worldish when it comes to cracking down on dissidents and protesters, and generally anyone who actually discusses reality. The state controls the media so strongly, they really can't even report bad weather at Sochi or anything that doesn't make the events and Russia in general look good/better. Everything "bad" is clearly propaganda from the West. 🙄

On top of it, didn't one of the members just got out of jail. They should know better than play with the devil again.
It's on BBC.I think the point is to illustrate just how fucked up things are, they know what they're getting into and I'm glad they're doing what they're doing.
Why isn't this bigger news yet?
pussy whipped.
We really shouldn't have attended these Olympics. A bit hypocritical of the USA, doncha think?
Yes, yes, very good. Look at those terrible evil Russians. Don't mind the human rights violations of your own government. Don't mind that your own government gives billions of dollars to despotic regimes that are far worse.
You're one of those "I'd rather Putin be my president" types, eh?
Seriously--move the fuck to Russia if it's so glorious.
Cops knew they were in town, they were detained for a bit the day they arrived. It's fairly reasonable to assume they were being followed 100% of the time.It looks staged, look how fast the "cops" showed up, they did not even start to protest or do w/e it is they were planing to do yet. I'm pretty sure they would have gone for the cameras first too.
Though if this is not staged, this is not unique to Russia though. Look at all the police brutality in the states, and even here in Canada. People get hit and shot all the time, and even their homes broken into by cops.
Nah, you can shoot them instead. :whiste:I wish I lived in a country that would whip people for being loud and obnoxious in public. +Rep for Russia.
