Pushy salesmen. Do you crack under pressure or feel less compelled to buy?

Sorry that rarely ever happens as I like to do research BEFORE buying the product.

Crack under pressure? I simple tell them to leave me alone or I will call the manager. I never talk to salesmen, they are a useless annoyance that anyone with a brain need only call when time for them to get something off the top shelf. Car salesmen are useless also....I already know what I'm paying before I ever get to the dealership.

Pollage... And I'm less inclined to buy. A college I was going did that kind of. She was too pushy, so I'm less inclined to partake. Makes me think something is up...

Ok what about if you're just walking around with your girlfriend or whatever and you're checking something out and a salesman says "I see that you're interested in purchasing this for your lovely girlfriend!" ?

Impulse buying is foolish.

Ahhh the fine line of commissioned sales, between being too pushy or not pushy enough. Seeing as I did that myself for several years...no, sales tricks will not work on me. I'll feel bad, because I know he'll be mad if I walk away without buying(it used to piss me off too), but hey, thats life.

I spend enough money on my gf as it is. I know better than to fall for that one 😀

Correct although I have fallen victim to it (usually at the grocery store when it comes to produce, DO NOT ASK!)

Research products, select one then find a Hot Deal then buy product.

🙂

I NEVER buy from a stupid salesman. Especially the ones that try and make it look like your someone extra special. Like when they show you the price they will be like "Here is what it was at, and I already gave you xxx dollars off". Also, any that dont expect to negotiate need to be shot in the face 20,000 times. Infact, I dont deal at all with salesman that arent calm and just go the deal legit and nicely.

I normally start telling THEM about the product b/c I've done my research. Good example of that are any large electronic stores, especially especially best buy, cicruit city and compussr. I've yet to run into an intelligent person working in any of these stores.

Pushy salesmen make me more inclined to not want to buy a product. Even if it is a good deal, I'll refuse out of sheer principle. I won't support a person or business with pushy, high-pressure sales tactics.
