Pushups every night bad?

I know you're supposed to give 48 hours between weight lifiting workouts. I assume this applies to doing pushups too?

I dont think so, a friend of mine has been doing 200 pushups and 500 situps everynight for the last 10 years.

yeah, i hear some people do pushups every night before they goto bed. is this going to deter any muscle building i'm trying to do?

People that lift SO MUCH that they are physically sore the next day, take 48 hours off to rest/repair their muscles. I doubt that you're going to do that many push ups. I'd do them as often as you can, it will only help transform your string bean arms that much faster....

When doing pushups you aren't pushing your muscles to the same level of fatigue that you could be through lifting weights. As such, the time required to recover is lessened.
