Purpose for Window

What is the purpose for someone to put a window in the side of their case and then have a light in there that makes even more heat? I am considering some sort of mods to my new case from A-Pro Cases. I bought from them the ATX, CS-900PX. Is a nice case. Look at it and let me know what you think of it and possible neat and cooler solutions. My Case at A-Pro.

Thanks,

It's not just a "Window" .
It's a window to the FIFTH DIMENSION.

What's the light for?
So you can see all that.
(Also to see if you got your cables plugged correctly and all that without opening the case ?)

Why am I posting this?
Because right now I'd rather do anything else than work on my income tax return!

EDIT:
Nice looking and SMART case. Front bezel has plenty of vents for the front fan. I' rate it a "BUY" .

well, first of all... if you stare at any plain jane beige pc long enough, you will go insane. the purpose of the light is just to give the case some spice. if you spend all this money on top of the line components, custom cables, and do a nice job cleaning up the mess, then you should show it off.

also, if you pick the right type of light source, you wont have any extra heat. if you use neons, or leds, you will get very little heat (if any) from them. i saw this one guy put a damn halogen light in his case and then wandered why it got so hot!!!! i have a strip of leds in mine with a window, and i get so many people who walk by my room stop for a peak. it is definatly a head turner!
