Purging the dns resolver cache

What is this error, why is it happening and how do I fix it??
It is on a winxp computer that is in a network connected to a smoothwall server.
I just updated the server from smoothwall gpl 1 to gpl 2 beta 4 and all of a sudden I can not connect it to the internet and when ever I repair the connection i get this error 'Purging the dns resolver cache.'

can the smoothwall get out? I think you can either telnet or ssh into it, but its been a while since I used smoothwall...

I think XP is trying to flush the dns, so try, at a cmd prompt, typing:
ipconfig /flushdns

Yes the computer on the green side is fine it is the one i am using. all i get is errors when i try to do anything at the cmd on the computer on the orange side.

Fixed it by adding in my isp's dns to tcp/ip settings and it works.
It still has the error and comes up with errors when i try to flush but it works.
