Purevideo/Nvidia DVD decoder problem

I can't change any settings to show that I have 4.1 speakers, under the Nvidia Decoders properties page it only shows two speakers, and Listening mode as Stereo, even though I've got source material that is surround sound... Is there any settings that I can force 4.1 surround? It isn't as fun watching The Incredibles in plain stereo 😉

 Incredibles

As for the Nvidia Decoder, no there is nothing you can do. I ran into that same problem. Additionally you cant sell it either because to activate you need the last 4 digits of credit card number. So you are pretty much stuck with it now. Use it as a back up.

🙁

why would they release it without surround capabilities? Crisp picture + only stereo sound = 🙁... Is there a way to force wmp10 to use a different dvd audio decoder?

There are a couple different versions of the decoder, you probably bought the cheapest one that doesn't have surround capabilities.
