Ok first here are my system specs:

Xp2700+
DFI NFII ultra b
XFX 6600gt
512mb ram
Fresh install of xp w/sp2
nvidia 67.03 drivers
Newest nvidia dvd decoder
wmp10

My problem is whenever I try to play dvd's I get a black screen but I still get audi😵k I have trid a bunch of stuff to try to get purevideo to work right. I just dont know what the problem is I should be getting video. The nvidia decoder thing even pops up in the taskbar when I try to play them. It worked the last time I had it installed before I formatted so I know that isnt the problem. I have tried uninstalling the drivers then cleaning with driver cleaner and reinstalling the dvd decoder.

Also I am having a problem with the drivers where the numbers on the monitor are extremely dark. I know that is pretty vague so here is a picture of the problem.

1. furiously download a bunch of random codecs such as xvid
2. try another program to play your DVD's
3. ....
4. Become a billionare.

efit: sorry for my crappy post, but i get that problem in WMP9 and 10 alot.

Did you buy the decoder? I couldnt get the trial to work for me either some people said they went and bought it after the trial didnt work and that fixed it for the, . I would not risk it though.
I think purevideo just does not work at all. It is more of a marketing feature than an actual useable item.

Looks like a fubur driver install to me. Maybe look for a different driver set if you've already done DC + re-install. I'm using newer leaked betas (71.24 or something..not at my rig) without those issues.
