Finally bought my first house. Despite having a daughter among other things, this is the first time I've really felt like an adult finally.

1500 sq ft, 3 BR/2 BA. Purchased for $139.9K, seller paid for $4200 in closing costs. Previous owner bought it in Jan 07 and paid more than what we paid for it, and they left washer, dryer, fridge, replaced furnace and hot water heater last week. Outside A/C unit is only a year old, roof is within 10 years, no foundation issues.
All in all I'm pretty happy. First order of business is painting the wood door frames white, as all the other molding in the house is white. (Not too sure why the previous owner did that and left them unpainted) Already painted the kitchen pantry frame/door white and it looks 100 times better.
Kind of stuck on what to do in the kitchen though - the countertops are a greenish color, so can't decide between painting the cabinets white and doing a light green (like the dining room color) on the walls, or staining/painting the cabinets a dark brown, which I think would give me more options for wall colors in the kitchen.
