Anyone know a good way to teach a new puppy to go outside and do his business? I am doing the "goes outside give him a treat" method. Any other good methods?

I just said it.
Of just shove its nose in it and then bring it and the puppy out and show it being outside.
Nothing works like showing who the master is though.![]()

From what I've read and discovered, that doesn't work very well. All it does is encourage the puppy to hide his poop better next time.
You have to catch them in the act.

As I said, "read and discovered". Discovered meaning the poop went from being on the middle of the floor to behind the couch.
