We had one years ago. West Highland White Terriers they are.

The fella that bred them shot one of his own dogs while rabbit hunting. It broke his heart,
killing one of his own dogs, thinking it was game. So he bred for white.

They are a very hearty little dog, not a lap dog like a Maltese. If needed they can endure cold very well. They will hunt with little training, if well bred. They are some work, as the
coat has to be stripped twice a year=hand work.
