My brothers mini shnauzer had her puppies a week ago this Sunday... I took a bunch of pictures, but a lot of them were blurry trying to capture these little guys... There was 6 puppies total, 1 girl and 5 boys...

The girl is the really blonde looking one, all the black are the boys...

The puppy that I'm holding near the end is the one that I've picked out to be my new puppy once I get my house...

This will be nice, as this coming Saturday I have to put down my 13 year old black Lab (Buddy)... So after that, it will be nice to have another dog in the house...

Anyway - Here's pictures...

Edit : Added a picture of Buddy... it's big, so dial-up beware... But let's keep this a happy post... New life is exciting, and Buddy's not gone just yet... so...

It's not often I see a single post that brings out both great sadness and great joy..

..I'm looking for a small dog..are they expensive?? All the animal shelters here (daily city) are full of pit bulls. No small dogs. Seems like people are dumping the pits as fast as they can.

Are you from around my area? If so, PM me and we'll set something up... 3 of the six are spoken for, but if you are within driving distance let me know...

why do you have to euthanize him? Will Buddy get to meet the new puppies?

Joe - Why did you have to put your dog down?

Aidanjm - Buddy's full of cancer, has very bad arthritis, bad cataracts, can't hear any longer... It's his time... I'm getting a new house in another city April 1st, and I don't want to put him through the move... He's lived here his whole life and I know he wouldn't transition well.

No, He will not be seeing the puppies... Different kind of dog, I'm not sure that they would get along or anything... and I don't want two things to happen... 1 - The puppies to get hurt... they're so small, and with Buddy being ~100lbs, and quite a large dog (not fat) I'd be afraid... and 2 - I don't want Buddy to feel as though I've replaced him before he's even gone... He's got one more week with us, and I'm going to do everything I can to make sure it's pleasant...
