Pump & Res 5 1/4 bay combo recommendations

After hitting above desirable temps with my i7 970 I am looking to resurrect my old h20 parts for a new loop. I want to keep a safe mix of materials for the loop. I'll be using distilled water and 7/16id with 5/8od tubing. I have:

Parts to Re-use
EK Supreme LT (copper)
MCR320 Rad (copper)
7/16 ID & 5/8 OD MasterKleer PVC tubing
BitsPower 1/2id barbs, 2x 1/2id 45 degree bitspower barbs, etc

Other parts
MC355 pump
MC655 pump variable
XSPC res top for Laing DDC
various 90s Ts etc.

I will be using a Corsair 800D. I don't want to drill into the case for any reason I just want a sweet 5 1/4 bay Res and pump combo to cool an overclocked i7 970

Thanks for the suggestions

koolance, swiftech both make great 5 1/4 bays for DDC.

koolance, eK, and alphacool have great ones for D5

How are XSPC 5 1/4" dual reservoirs?

Can't speak for the XSPC 5 1/4" dual reservoir; However, I have 2 other XSPC 5 1/4" bay reservoirs and both are fine. I have a single D-5 XSPC 5 1/4" bay reservoir with a Swiftech D655b (fixed speed equivalent to #4 setting on the 655 variable) used in a single loop with a FX 8350 @4.5Ghz and an EVGA GTX780 Classified with a Hydro-Cooper block using an externally mounted EK 480 rad.

My second XSPC bay res is the 5 1/4" twin D5 res using 2 Swiftech D655 variables running in series. Series really ups the flow rate.

This is also in a single loop cooling my 3930k @4.6 Ghz (Swiftech ApogeeHD block) and 2 Sapphire Tri-X R9 290s using EK rev2 Waterblocks. The loop uses a XSPC RX360 rad mounted internally coupled with my external MO RA3-420 rad (a beast!).

Both XSPC reservoirs work well.

I didn't know they sold a bunch of different combinations of options. I'd like to use the 655/D5. Actually I've never put it to use.

What I'm thinking now is a Dual 5 1/4 bay dual res reservoir.

I'm not the one to ask, and I myself am slowly researching a choice of parts for building my first WC system next year. But Koolance products are often touted here by our established guru.

I agree but its the only dual D5 pump, dual bay, dual res, resevoir that I could find.

Oh wait. Here

My first(and current) loop has a bay reservoir. I wouldn't want it in my second build as it is a PITA to fill, especially ones which ports at the top and usually not accessible unless you unscrew and pull it out slightly.

The Koolance version is a good bay reservoir, plus it comes with the port at the front for easier filling. IMO, it might be a tad difficult to isolate pump vibration with bay reservoir with pumps.

I'm more hoping to have it near silent so lowering the rpm of the pump will lessen the vibration hopefully
