Pump Issues

I switched from water to air and now I want to revert back to water. I set everything up, primed the pump with water and flipped the switch. However, instead of water streaming around quickly through my setup, it flows very slowly and it sounds as if the pump is having trouble. At times there would be no flow at all. This usually happened before but after a few seconds of sucking water, it would go full power and the pump noise would make its usual whirr. Now it just doesnt shoot water like it used to and make noises...

Anyone else having trouble with the MCP650 from Swiftech?

Can't say I've had that problem with mine. Have you tried opening up the pump and cleaning it out? What additives did you add to the water? There's a chance that during your air cooling switch some deposits dried and hardened inside the pump if you didn't clean it out before storing it.

If you added UV dye to your loop from a highlighter marker I've heard from Swiftech that some types of highlighter fluid can become particulate after a while, messing up the pump workings.

I did add thier own brand of green liquid that is supposed to be some type of coolant. I will go clean it out now that youve suggested it!
