G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory

End

After way-too-much research, this is what I have come up with. The power supply being used is only temporary, if it will work for me at all. I have absolutely no intention on using it for more than a month. Sooner if I can manage money-wise.

I have an external Sony USB DVD burner/reader that will act as my disk drive.

I also plan on upgrading the hard drive at some point, possibly SSD, but can't quite yet.

I feel like I'm leaving something out, which is possible with all the link insertions I put in. If anything looks amiss, feel free to let me know! My pride is dropped and I'm ready to know if this is a good build or not so I can be done with research and be on my way to a decent little computer. :)

Is the power supply not sufficient? If not, why?

Yes, the hard drive is deactivated, but it's the one I currently own. I'm simply reusing it until I can upgrade to SSD, etc.

I think the PSU will be fine for now... next year I plan running Crossfire, which is the reason I want to upgrade the PSU in the near future.

Your choices look fine, though I would get this Corsair DDR3 1333 kit which saves you $5 and guarantees that you will never have to worry about clearance issues. You will not notice the 1% difference between DDR3 13333 and DDR3 1600.
