Pulling 960K off usenet

This new cable modem rocks!!! It's not actually new, but the speed is faster.... I went from 5Mbits/sec to 8Mbits/sec, and I'm thinking this is fast as hell!

I wanna know your feedback... How fast is yours and what do you pay per month... If you could include the top speed you've gotten and where from (i.e. usenet, irc, web, ftp) that would be cool too.

Sorry, didn't really get it at first the gist of what you were saying. But there are some things on usenet that aren't as illegal as a.b.dvd and the likes. But I was just comparing that as that's the fastest I've been able to get. Not very many sites have connections to a backbone like usenet servers.
