I have about 45 Super NES cartidges. I would like pull the rom images over to my pc.

What hardware would I need to do this?

(SuperNES works off and on and cartridges are just rotting, want to preserve the roms)

I know there is an adaptor taht allows you to copy the ROM files straight from the cartridges to a floppy disk. I believe that is how the ROM files are then ripped to the hard drive. Why don't you send me a PM instead and list out all the ROMs you want/need, and I'll send you them. I have every SNES ROM to date anyways.

I think it may be legal to dl a rom off a website if you own the actual game. Don't quote me on that but emulation is a very 'touchy' subject.

Eh... not really. The games are still owned by the original copyright creators, and I'm pretty sure they have not given anyone permission to distribute the ROMs.

Now, you can make a fair argument that you should be allowed to rip them yourself under fair use... but no, downloading them is never going to be legal unless they are in the public domain or the person hosting them has gotten permission.
