As do most people in here, I havent seen a post where people are excited about people dieing and going through hell.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that was the point of his post :)

At least we can all laugh at you when you claim that stealing is OK as long as it's from a wealthy corporation. But this is just sad.

You sir are an idiot.

Given the fact that HP was actually in battle, and is older and wiser than most of us, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and trust him that I could never imagine combat.

If he were wiser, he would't let his pet hamster use the keyboard to make posts like this.

He does have a point though. Most of our youth today could never even begin to fathom what it's like being on the front lines. Just look at all the pathetic YAGTs we get on here. You think these guys are equipped to handle what happens in a war?

I commend those who serve for our country.

I agree with the point of what is probably going to happen, but I don't agree that "most" of the young people think that way.
Like that radio talk show chick in one of these posts, that sums up alot of the anti-war idiots that i have talked to. I think we are doing the right thing as far as going to war, but that doesnt mean I don't give a sh!t about our troops.
I'll do my part for my county and they do theirs, they happen to do alot more then most people do for our country.

Happy Puppy you bring up good points. I am so mixed about the upcomming war. I would like to see the people in Iraq having better lives and less termoil in the middle east and the rest of the world, however I also know that there will be a price to pay for this to come about. The only thing I can do is pray and support our/allies troops.

Never seen so much cocksucking in one thread. I have never seen a person glorify war in these threads. It is a brutal and disgusting thing, but that's just the way it is. From one brother to another, I want to puke reading this thread.

Ass, why don't you go play with your GI Joes and leave the adults to have a real discussion.

What discussion is that? Did you just pop up to join the crowd? What is you thought? Tool.

I should stay away from most of this OT bs, its funny when you do a search on some of these posters in here to see how many posts this year they have made in other forums besides OT......lol:disgust:

Replies #1, #3, #5, #6 add nothing of value to the thread and are insulting.
Reply #4 doesn't make any sense really, but its not trolling either.
Reply #7 is a good reply even though it appears that you haven't really read the thread that carefully.

4 of your 6 posts were simply confrontational. Hence you appear to be trolling.

i agree with happypuppy to some extent.

some threads past few days seemed to only emphasize on certain things, like "Let's kick Saddams a$$ woohoo!"

i have no idea what is going on the minds of the marines and army units who are about to embark on the war but i bet it is pretty $hitty.

watching Bands of Brothers again reminds me how hellish war is. war itself is so insane and nothing makes sense, the gore, the trauma, the stress...

Who are you talking to?

If you're replying to me, I've been around here for over a year, and I've made numerous posts in other parts of this forum.

No, I "popped up" to let you know you're an ass. Nothing more, nothing less.

You made no logical argument, you made no contribution to the thread, you simply "popped up" to call someone an idiot when he made a cogent, thoughtful post. Either make an argument and contribute to the thread, or go play in the sandbox like the brat you are.

Numbers from Gulf War:

148 US soldiers killed (about 1/4 from friendly fire)

100,000 Iraqi soldiers killed ... 5,000-20,000 Iraqi civilians killed

This time it will probably be even more lopsided, since most of the "war" will consist of us bombing the hell out of them from the sky. I'm not trying to downplay the job our soldiers have, but they sure have it a hell of a lot easier than the Iraqis do. Our guys have FAR superior equipment and training.

Edit: As far as I'm concerned, this shouldn't even be called a "war"... massacre is probably a better word.

On all of you pimple poppers who are reveling in our men and women who are going to be going through a Hell that you can't even imagine very soon.

You fatass, socially deficient retards are so happy about a live action video game coming to your TV screen so that you can make believe what a Rambo you would be if you were there.

In your most horrible nightmare you can't even approach what many of our soldiers are going to have to endure in real life.

I hope you pre-pubescent puss suckers enjoy every minute of live TV coverage.

I pray that noone you know dies or is seriously injured.

You sir are an idiot.

No, he's really not. You are the idiot for thinking that it's anything less than he's described it. Try going through military training, not even the real thing and see what you think afterwards. When you're sitting out there on the field, taking rounds from downrange but you still have to take the objective, what are you going to do? I've done things like that only in training so far, with paint bullets, and still had problems forcing my body to move from safety into the direct line of fire. Anyone that is honestly excited about the war is sadly mistaken, and most likely not ever been in the service whatsoever. Remember this: Even if we take minimal casualties, that still means thousands of US troops are going to lose their lives for the cause. What if one of them was your dad, or brother, or uncle? How would you feel to recieve the visit from their CO delivering the message that they died in combat, that he only thing you'll ever see of them again is the flag they draped over his coffin when he was buried? Still excited abotu the war?

It's okay, he can't actually be forced to think about anything beyond what happens on his television set. It's all he's capable of. ;)
