Pujols, not so good in the Clutch? OMG, he's 0-4 again, this time down 5-1

show me the playoffs where Pujols has really carried the Cards thru the playoffs the way Reggie Jackson or Bernie Williams used to do?

Pujols is supposed to be God Incarnate as a hitter according to cardinals fans. show me where he's done it in the playoffs.



 
Well, I have to admit... everytime he has gone to bat against my 'Stros I get real nervous. He almost always gets a single, homer or steal. At least in this series.

But... I guess he does tend to run out of gas in the clutch. Like tonights mad dash to home plate and he got tagged out.

Saying that.... I wouldn't mind him being on my team. But he's not, so fvck 'em. 😛
 
Well, he does have a 1.260 OPS in the Playoffs so far. I haven't been able to watch every at bat of his, but it doesn't look like he's choking too much.

Dude, he's batting 350+ and started a rally against one of the toughest closers in the game. It's not his fault nobody around him is doing jack.

And frankgomez75 is wrong that he "ran out of gas". He made the right play to force the fielder/catcher to make a good play at home plate and they did. Note that Larry Walker smartly made it to 3rd base, so the end result was no worse than if Pujols had retreated to the bag.

If anyone choked, it was the whole Angels line-up (besides Cabrera). 😛

His OPS is off the charts and you are asking whether or not he's good in the clutch?

Get serious..I know your beloved Braves got knocked out....again....but put down the crackpipe....Bernie Williams was never, ever, HALF the hitter that Pujols already is, and he's only going to get better.

Between this and the "Jim Edmonds is a better defensive CF than Andruw Jones" threads, the baseball gods are going to hit this place with lightening!

people have gotten on barry bonds for less as far as performanence in the plaoyffs is concerned.
