Puffy Combs arrested again!

It's not like he KILLED someone. People get caught driving with a suspended license all the time. The media just LOVES to embellish this kinda stuff.
 
It's true that the media hypes this stuff up when the person is famous/well-known, however, he was still driving under a suspended license. Tsk tsk tsk.
 
Actually i think Cash money is above the law. Dude gets off with no jail time for gun chargers and eluding officers. ya right, try that and not be a superstar with loads of money, and you'll be doing time.

What's with you getting mad about this? Celeberities (especially those who have been acquitted of crimes based solely on fame -Like OJ and Puffy) are the tops targets for demonization. Puffy will be able to do very little for the next few years without coming under EXTREME fire from the media. Roll with it.

This gets attention because of Puffy and nothing more....

Why? People ride scooters all of the time in Florida when their license is suspended.....

Why? Because in Florida, mopeds and scooters (under a certain cc that I'm not sure Puffy's scooter fell under but his looked like a 150 to me which would fall within this rule) fall under the category of &quot;bicycle&quot; and require no helmet or license.

If someone can prove:

A: The engine size of Puffy's scooter

and

B: The maximum allowable engine size to have to not be considered a &quot;bicycle&quot;.

....we may be able to determine that Puffy's charges were false. 😉

Nope.

The law, like in most states, allows you to ride a scooter with no more than 50 cc, 2 horsepower, and a top speed of 30 MPH without a helmet. Not sure about the license thing, but if they go hand in hand, Puffy's charges stand. There's no way in hell that scooter was under 50cc.

I mean hell, we're allowed to ride MOTORCYCLES without helmets now thanks to Jeb Bush. Why need a license?

Depending on your level of insurance. Why license? Because it's a registered vehicle sharing the road with other traffic. By default, any bike capable of over 30 MPH should reuire the same licensing. The helmet thing just allows you to sign your own death warrant. Allowing STUPIDITY and allowing illegal driving are two very different things.

Technicality: 50cc scooters do 35 MPH w/o any modification. 😉 45 w/ some tweaking.
 
In order to fall under the &quot;bicycle&quot; law, the scooter has to meet ALL the criteria. So, a 75cc bike that only has 1 HP and will go 15 MPH still is a motorcycle. A 50cc with 2 HP that will do 45 is a motorcycle. ONLY a 50 cc or lower that has 2 HP or lower, with a top speed of 30 or lower qualifies.

So, tell it to the lawmakers. 😉

And if it's over 50cc here in RI. It's a motorcycle. Only helmets here for the passengers also. When I lived in Florida it was a law (helmet) for anyone on a motorcycle. I kinda found it funny since they are pretty easy going down there about most other things.

I got away w/ murder, compared to what it's like here anyway. 😉
