I didn't realize until recently that my Monsoon MM-700 speakers are actually very good, so I'd like to clean them up a bit for the arrival of my Conroe system. Several years ago the plastic bit for the mute button on the puck broke off on me. I was hoping I could just buy another one for $3-5 somewhere, but the company no longer appears to be in business. If anyone knows how I might be able to get ahold of one, please let me know. Thanks!

[edit] To clarify a little bit, the puck has a volume control and a mute button. It's in the circuit that connects the subwoofer to the sound card, so it's required to actually hear anything. Both ends look like standard connections. It seems like something standardized that you could just go out and buy, but I have no idea what to call it.

Bump :(. There's got to be some sound junkies around here who know what this part is called.

Ha! My dad is using my old MM-700s right now.

Could you not just improvise the mute button? You still have the cable/circuitry right?

Edit: And yes, they sound dang good for computer multimedia setups. If you ever see the Planar Media 9 or 14s for a decent price, pick them up. I upgraded to the PM 14s and it was worth it. Luckily I got them for $9 off of some ebay liquidator.

The mute button still works fine, it's just missing the black plastic cover to it. Underneath is a tiny white bit that I can still press to use. I was never a fan of the remote style though and I'd rather have a box I can attach to my desk. Maybe I'm being to perfectionist here :).

Well..you could just fabricate your own box. Since you have all of the circuitry, it wouldn't be that difficult.
