Target's next to Walmart have lower prices on multiple items across the board than a Target that's not near a Walmart.

K-Mart, Target and Walmart prices have always varied depending on the local competition.

Nearly all chain stores price their food or products differently dependant on location and competition in New York City (and elsewhere).
