Really hoping that, before they demote (and hopefully fire) this clown, his superior calls him into the office for a good dressing down, and maybe some wall to wall counseling. Not only did he just effectively give the original suspect a get out of jail free card, by questioning him without his attorney present, he committed a false arrest and imprisonment on the Public Defender.

Seriously, someone call his village, and tell them we've found their idiot!

You can legally refuse to answer!

You quoted me as having written:

The police CAN legally question people relevant to an investigation. The police CAN legally photograph people relevant to an investigation if the people are in public.

But what I actually wrote was:

I'm completely able to read and understand. But are you able to understand what you're writing?

To repeat myself: You are completely wrong. The police CAN legally question people relevant to an investigation. The police CAN legally photograph people relevant to an investigation if the people are in public.

For your information, the verb "question" means to "ask questions of (someone), especially in an official context." It doesn't mean that the person being asked the questions are required to answer.

Now, can you explain to me why you would intentionally exclude a relevant part of my post, and then respond as though I neglected to write that relevant part?

My friend always talks about the police arresting people for resisting arrest. But I never thought I'd see one actually openly say that as an excuse to the press.

The people filming were lawyers.

This is one dumb cop.

I wonder what the DA thought about that cop/detective doing that non-sense.
It would be a miracle if they could even get a grand jury to indict those 2 after the video of the cops arresting the lawyer.
