ESPN has suspended Tony Kornheiser, current co-host of its daytime Pardon the Interruption talk show and a former Monday Night Football game analyst, network spokesman Mike Soltys said Tuesday. Kornheiser is on suspension for comments he made Friday about ESPN anchor Hannah Storm.
On his weekday local radio show on ESPN Radio's Washington, D.C. affiliate, Kornheiser Friday talked about what Storm was wearing on-air at the time.

He called her outfit "horrifying" and said her "very, very tight shirt" looked like "sausage casing" and that her "Catholic school plaid skirt" was "way too short for somebody" her age.

Kornheiser subsequently apologized to Storm and apologized on-air. Kornheiser missed PTI Monday as part of his suspension, the length of which has not yet been announced by ESPN

wtf? I noticed he wasn't on PTI monday, but I wasn't paying attention as to why.
This doesn't seem like something he should be suspended for.

I remember watching that sportscenter. The outfit did look odd on her but big frick.
May as well cancel all radio shows since someone might get offended
give me a break. Has ESPN never watched PTI or any other spot Kornheiser has done? He makes comments about stuff like that all the time.

Dan Le Batard is filling in again today. This isn't the first time Tony's been suspended, he was out for a while for criticizing ESPN management a few years ago.

I would probably be fired if said something like that to a coworker..

Apparently they heard about the compromising shirtless pics of him and Drew Brees in the bahamas that are about to surface

If he had made comments ridiculing a male co-host or guest it would just be laughed off, but because the comments were directed at a poor weak female he is suspended.

Double Standard for the Win!

That must have been one ugly shirt if it made her ugly. I like Tony, but come on man!

Tony Kornheiser is an idiot. When he did MNF games I use to mute the game half the time because I couldn't stand listening to him. This isn't the first time he's said stupid things on the air either.

Thanks for the pic.

That certainly is not a good look for her. And for just about any 47 year old woman, I would think.

The real question is why she was dressed like that. Does she pick out her on air clothes? I'm pretty sure not.

Notice how few woman sportcasters there are in their 50's? Clearly television networks have bias against older woman. Imagine a female sportscaster as old as Tony Kornheiser? I can't, probably because I never see any past about the time the camera can't hide their age.

wow. are you fucking kidding me? how are those comments worthy of getting suspended. horseshit

If most people made comments like that in public about a female co-worker they'd probably get fired. Tony is lucky he's on-air "talent". Getting off with a two week suspension is lucky, if he was less visible or further down the totem pole it would have been worse for him.

Anyway here is Kornheisers apology:

"Kornheiser opened his radio show, saying about the incident: "I apologize, unequivocally ... I'm a sarcastic, subversive guy ... I'm a troll, look at me. I have no right to insult what anybody looks like or what anybody wears. That, I think, should go without saying"

The look isn't that great for her, but he made the wrong choice in saying what he did out loud.

You probably don't see female sportscasters who are Tony's age because they're old as hell and not interested in sports. Off the top of my head I can think of Suzy Kolber, Lisa Salters, Michele Tafoya, and Andrea Kremer who are all around Hannah's age.

read another story and it wasn't so much about the comments about the cougar as it was other comments about certain espn people that had gone through weight lose and put it back back back back on.

Hearing about it on sports radio, he made a whole lot more insulting comments about Storm than in the OP's article.

Dumbass is lucky that he wasn't fired.
