PT-- What is it

I just got a neighbor's home built computer running today.

On boot up I get the message: "No PT. Insert the disk. Hit any key."

I can hit any key and Windows (98SE) comes up.

Question. Anyone know what PT is and what disk is it looking for? He has none.

Thanks for the response.

I think the real dilemma you have there is the any key...I can't find it! I just took a magic marker to my "A" key and always hit that button when it says to hit the any key. I sure fooled my system!

Hehehe

Probably partition.

Well, it's something that I've never come across, but then I've only been messing with computers since the mid fifties.
