LOLWTF dat hand fart grenade at 0:57. This video is the ultimate form of trolling. It's literally Psy trolling everyone and laughing at them. Initially I thought it didn't have the mega catchy sing-along liners of 'Hey sexxxy lady!' and 'oppan gangnam style', but after few viewing it's already quite catchy.

I heard the music yesterday without the vid and I was sorely disappointed. This morning I heard it again with the proper video. It's much better. Those non-Koreans must be like 'WTF' at Psy eating that huge uncut snake-like rice cakes.

Here is the translation:

English Translation:

The downside to going viral is that people are sick of you in any shape or form afterward.

I don't think it'll do well, at all.

You mean he isn't dead? :(

That shit got old fast...you know it's bad when you go to a Verizon store and the kids (no older than 10) are pulling it up/blasting it on the display phones.

S. Korea is right though....they are more afraid of Psy and his terrible music than a nuclear bomb going off :D

Edit: ugh, just read the article. They aren't afraid and actually look forward to it. Damn you KPop :(

Korea doesn't have better things to do right now?

Such as?

North Korea? laugh. Even before I was born, my grandparents urged my parents to move to US due to the imminent war.

NK has been drumming up threats for over 3 decades. SK has tons of spies in border Chinese towns near NK. No one is really flinching.

South Korea's music industry is something everyone is paying very close attention to. Whether it's PSY or the next guy it's worth watching. The music really won't mean much to us without the video though.

I only watch (I mute the volume) KPop videos because the girls in them look like real life dolls after numerous plastic surgery enhancements from tip to toe.

Psy was pretty well known and popular in the past in Korea. It's just his last song made him known globally.

Even before this, the dude was pretty loaded (dad I think owns a company).

Yeah, he was successful before, just wasn't known outside of S.Korea. Think he had like 6 albums previously or something.

It was mentioned in a P&N thread how he kind of resembles KJU...maybe they're one and the same.

If thats the case we better hope the singles does well otherwise he's going to use artillery shells to let his anger and sadness out

I'm somehow not convinced that artillery shells would be worse...

I wonder what the subject matter will be. It would be funny if it was a scathing satyr of NK.

Guess this guy doesnt know what a "one hit wonder" is.

Oh I'm sure he knows exactly what's at stake. Even if it sucks he'll probably make a shit load off of it just because he got so popular. Not cashing in now would be the stupid thing to do.

Gangnam style wasn't even considered good in the west in the most part. It was pretty much "haha look at the funny looking asian fat man dance!" Yet people like to pretend as if the "hit" was a "breakthrough" for kpop or that asians in the west would somehow be more accepted.

I doubt this new song will have the same success. The same sense of humor would be boring, and nobody in the west even takes the music seriously.

It'll probably still do fine in SK though.

The "look at" part can relate to the Youtube views but it was also #1 on iTunes for a while (even #1 in the UK music chart & #2 on Billboard Hot 100). So people also liked the song as well.

Everytime I saw a white person listening to it, they were all just doing the silly dance and laughing at each other. I think the song is decent, but is was largely considered a novelty rather than a decent piece of music.

I mean, Rebecca Black's Friday also did well on music charts.

Anecdotal? I saw hot ladies in a top down convertible jamming to the same song.

Friday sold 43,000 copies total according to Billboard. Gangnam Style sold over 1 million in the UK alone. http://www.officialcharts.com/chart...llops-to-over-a-million-sales-in-the-uk-1847/
