psychological thrillers

I'm just trying to find some good psychological thrillers to watch that I haven't seen before.
What are you guys' favorites? If you could add a very short summary over what it is about that would be great too, though not needed.

(One of my favorite movies is Donnie Darko, so.. if you have anything sort of metaphysical, that would be great🙂)

Did you do a search? We've had this discussion several times in the past. Here's one link:

That said, here are my some of my favorites in no particular order:

Memento
Jacob's Ladder
The Butterfly Effect
Identity
21 Grams
The Jacket

Seen those. 21 Grams, that is about the weight of the soul, or supposedly. Right?
I'd like to see a movie on that, thank you.

edit: Oh and thank you with the link. I'm done with this thread then.

Thanks. I got a few to keep me entertained for a little while.
My next watching list I put together is:
Memento
Babel
Ichi the Killer
Fargo
21 Grams
The Jacket
The Haunting
The Game

Edit: I have Seven, Donnie Darko, Pi, Requiem for a Dream, Fight Club.. etc.. and seen pretty much all of the more known movies such as these.

I liked Seven, though I didn't really enjoy Brad Pitts acting in the movie. Morgan Freeman was good, but isn't he always? Good movie though. I love Kevin Spacey as an actor (I think thats his name) so I loved him as the killer. He's always in good movies.. K-Pax, American Beauty, etc..

also add:

The Innocents
The Changeling

and possibly:

The Legend of Hell House
Don't Be Afraid of the Dark

Definitely bump up 21 Grams and Memento to the very top of your list. And both movies require a lot of concentration in order to make sense. You take your eyes off the screen for a minute and you will miss something.

Add: Vanilla Sky. I haven't seen the Spanish original (Abre Los Ojos) but Vanilla Sky is an excellent movie in its own right. Psychological thriller, total character breakdown, and lots of little details everywhere that make you go 'OMG' when you watch it the second, third and fourth time.
