In reference to some of the statements you've made while arguing with her, you really need to watch that stuff, your spouse/GF will remember every bad thing you've ever said to her, and it can reach critical mass.

Why was she allowed to take a picture and get the autograph of some stud actor? It sounds like if you did the equivalent, you'd be in the doghouse.

Tell her that you trust her, and that you deserve her trust. If you've never done anything to lose her trust, she shouldn't have any argument.

SagaLore: I probably am a little pathetic: I am in way less than ideal living conditions at the moment, and I am unfortunately one of those people who does not like to be alone. However there is something to be said about sitting in your underwear sunday am drinking a cup of joe, because you can 🙂
Also, in hindsite, I guess you have to classify this as a rebound relationship: this is the first girl I got hooked up with after splitting with the wife. Frankly the idea of jumping back into the dating pool was a little daunting, after being with the ex for 15 years.
 
well, to anyone who has followed this thread, I was called by the girlfriend, and told she knew she was severely hosed, saw a psychologist, was put on anti-depressants, and told me she was in no shape to be in a relationship at this time. Gee, we can just be friends.
I totally bummed out for a few days, but enjoyed the fact that I could actually go out in public without squinting all the time, like I was looking into the sun.

I am 23, probably not old enough giving advice, but I think when you love someone, she should be part of your life, I could tolerate her, and give her a big warm hug right after she beat the hell out of me sometimes (for example), she probably acts like that because of you, you have to think about what 's wrong with yourself, do you really something wrong? If you think you are not, and both of you might just move on because the screw and the hole just doesn't match.

I have a question. Is it better to respond to these "My life, girlfriend, neighbor, etc sucks" rants with a "poor baby" instead of a constructive feedback or hopefully helpful suggestions?
 
no, I always read them and added some advice if I had any that was applicable. I think most of us here feel like we are a community, somewhat, and just want to vent, and bounce ideas off of other people.
 
Just one question:

Do you love her?

Is that why you aren't taking action? I would look at the pros and cons of her dude. List them all and see which one has more. From what you said, she has a lot more cons. Do you want to spend the rest of your life with someone that has so many negative aspects? I think you need to make a decision from that.
