Psyched about upcoming dove hunting season

CA season opens Sept 1-15. I'm pretty psyched about it this year cause I missed out last year because I couldn't make it back home. My shotgun is stored at my parent's place so I can't do any hunting down here (SoCal). Probably can't make it on opening day but should get a good Labor day weekend worth in this year.

Always good times though even when I don't bag anything.

I used to unofficially hunt them when I was little. I used my pellet gun, and sling shot.

My parents live up in fresno so we usually hit a few of the areas around that county. Alot of flat open farm land out there but it's even better if you can get permission to hunt on someone's private land.

Trying to shot them in flight is 10x more fun. It's a lot harder than it looks though.

I prefer marinating them in Italian dressing, then wrapping them in bacon and grilling them. Starts September 5th here.
