Psy is now on Ellen... Will he succeed beyond Gangnam Style?

Few days ago, he was on MTV VMA for all the kids and young 20s.

Now on Ellen for all the moms:

Good for him. I really wish he enjoys sustained success in US, not just an internet flavor of the month.

Unlike many other manufactured K-pop boy/girl bands, this man has true talent (you should see his previous Korean concert vids, he absolutely tears the crowd, and amazing rapping).

Now let's speculate, do you think he'll hit past Gangnam Style in US? If so, what will he do- another catchy song in Korean? English?

I got the slight low down from my parents.

Gangnam = A beverly hills type area in korea.

OPAN = what younger people call their older peers. Although it's truly OPA instead of OPAN, but same meaning. He basically had no one call him OPA during his childhood days and just wanted to be called that so he just added it to his lyrics. So random yet so genius.

Just for you, sir.

He's the real deal. He's highly educated, writes his own music and lyrics, does all the choreography (Koreaography?), and has been filling arenas in Korea for years. It would be hard to call him a one hit wonder.

Oh he's a veteran in Korea for sure, where their own music landscape has many one-hit wonders too.

But does this mean he can stay relevant in US?

Yes- He got that Bieber agent, he's talented himself, writes own music/produces/dances, etc.

No- Gangnam Style was popular because of its quirky foreign charm going viral. I don't see how he can follow up on this- another Korean song for the US audience? If he gets a song out in English, it'll lose most of the charm.

Since he writes and produces I bet thats the direction he can sustain in the US. Labels pay out the nose for people that can polish a turd and make it sell.

Britney is such an idiot. Ellen dances better than her.

Lol, at the beginning of that clip, I was wondering who that clueless, scared-looking, fat-faced non-entity with way too much make-up around her eyes was. 😛

Yeah, because Spears is disgusting and fucking enormous! 🙄

She hasnt really looked any different then she would have if she didn't act crazy.

I just feel her crazy episode now has tainted the way most people look at her.

I'd still do her.
