<edit>Damn, you guys beat me to it. Thread growing fast... Anyway, we could get them for 219 and then root around rich kids houses for boxes and then e**bay them for 1000 dollars as New In Box

... talk about immoral.</edit>
Cougarls88: Only a $200 auth on your credit card? Seems to me like that's the cheapest way to get a ps2

... truly a hot deal!
Blockbuster Goon: "Sir, we need you to return your PS2."
Me: "Uhhh.... I uhhhh... lost it."
Blockbuster Goon: "hahaha, we will ruin your entire credit record!"
Me: "Just take the $200 credit..."
Blockbuster Goon: "Drat! Foiled again!"
So you are only out $220 for a ps2, 2 controllers, cables, and I'm guessing the rental comes with a game too (the n64 one did). I think this works because I remember people getting the gold Zelda64 this way when it was hard to find. Only like $50 to replace. I think the deal with blockbuster is that they only charge their replacement fee if you lose a title (at least with videogames... they get most of their movies for free anyway). They want to recoup their losses, but not lose their customer. It seems like $200 is about what the cost would be to blockbuster since Sony wants to let them have it cheap for obvious reasons.
