I was looking at this Thermaltake but it just went out of stock on me. I've read reviews and it looks like it would be enough power for my system (in sig). Any other suggestions besides this one?

PS my system wasnt able to run on my Antec 350 that came with my lanboy.

The 12V rail is a bit weak in that PSU. Good choices from TT would be their ATX 2.0 line. If you don't like them go with OCZ modstream series.

TT has some great PSUs, but ATX 1.0 series have weak 12V rail, that's all. ATX 2.0 ones fix this in give superb voltages.

For under $60, this XClio is a great buy. It's made by the same company that makes Antecs.

I used my box with a Zalman 400B and a Seasonic super silencer 460.

The Zalman took all this (no overclocking):
- Winchester socket 754 3400+
- 6800 Ultra
- TV card, second ethernet, second sound
- DVD burner
- bunch'o'panaflos
- 1x 80 GB PATA + 2x 160 GB SATA
- assorted USB junk

It was choking when I connected the other 5 optical drives, but only in very specific games, was fine for the majority of games.

The Seasoniq 460 even does the 6 optical drives stunt in all games I have.

The point of the lesson is that quality PSUs can do a lot more for the same power rating than medium quality PSUs. The 400 watts Zalman should never have succeeded in driving that rig, but it did.

That is the best PSU in the world.

I love it.

3400+
3 HD
6800GT
2 Opticals
Floppy

12V - 12.02

Its on sale for 36 dollars all the time.

I've had it for more than a year.

Its awsome.

Not at all.

the 18A is good enough to provide an A64 w/6 series card no problem./

On these forums, they overdue PSUs way to much.

Whoever says 18A isnt enough is wrong.

Wait a minute.... why couldn't your system run on your 350 watt antec again?

My very oc'ed Intel rig w/ 6800oc is stable with 300w Antec @ 15a

antec 350 that came with the lanboy just wouldnt run. I don't know why but it didnt. It couldnt support my video. One day it just stopped working on me and i thought my card died so i RMA'd and they sent me a new card but same problem persisted. I bought new PSu and the problem ended. I have a antec 430True in my computer right now but i cant afford it so im taking it back soon (from best buy).

If you got a PSU from best buy already, I'd say just suck it up and keep it. You're really abusing the store if you had no intention of keeping it.
