Seasonic S12s are also worth looking at and would probably be the quietest.

The OCZ and FSP models are good too.

Prohibitively expensive and overkill for the vast majority of consumer-level uses. Their Silencer line is based on Seasonic parts, and the TurboCool line might be something like Fortron/FSP, so you could get virtually the same PSU cheaper through a different brand.

Ditto. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. They are already sleeved and will power up what you throw at them. Very well made.

directron sells FSP/SPI units VERY resonably proced. PC power and cooling used to be all made by FSP, now just some of their PSU's are rebadged units.

Yes, but if you're thinking about an Antec or Enermax PSU, consider an XClio--they're made by the same OEM and are really good for cheaper units. Can't believe I forgot about these originally...

A choice between a modular and a non-modular power supply?

I would get the Seasonics. They have been certified by 80-plus.org as being 80% efficient through their operating range, which has very real benefits, like a cooler-running PSU (less waste heat generated).

Fortron is also jumping on the 80% bandwagon with their new Green series (supposed to be 80%+ efficient too), plus Enermax has one that also claims to be 80%+... But for now, stick with the proven Seasonic, which also gives you the side benefit of being THE quietest fan-cooled PSU your money can buy.

The Xclio 450 (made by Channel Well same as Antec, etc.) is back in stock at Newegg - but I wouldn't dawdle. As soon as the ATers find out they'll be gone. Ooops... Dang I wish I needed a PSU about now.

Another vote for the Seasonic S12. Efficient, cool, quiet, stable.
