The Codegen 300W psu 8 (yes, I know it's crappy) in my dads rig died yesterday (see Duron under My rigs). I don't know what caused the psu to die, it stopped working with my 1.4 T-Bird half a year ago but worked fine with the 1Ghz Duron until now. I want to test it outside of the case to be sure that it's dead, but I cannot remember which pins in the plug that connects to the mobo to short to make it start.
 
At the mobo plug, jumper the only green wire to any black. Most supplies will start w/o any additional load, you may have to plug in a HDD or CDROM or both with some units.

Good quality 300w Sparkle units can be had for $30+shipping....
 
Thanks, that price on Sparkle would be in the US I guess, don't know what they cost here in Denmark, haven't seen any shops who has that brand. It's actually hard to find quality psus here, a shop even said the Deer was high quality!
