I was thinking either the OCZ modstream or the Fortron 450watt psu. If i got the fortron I could get it right away, but I'd have to wait to get the OCZ. Is it worth twice the price? Plus I need a new motherboard but I need a powersupply first, so advice would be nice. Right now I have the DFI lanparty UT-NF4-D. (definetily get the ultra. This one sux)

why does your motherboard suck? why's the ultra better

anywho about your psu, i'd stick with the fortron....no wait plus the extra cash isn't worth it for the ocz

The mobo sux because I can't even overclock my AMD 64 3500 past 2.475ghz, even when the temps are like 24c idle. Plus it won't let my flash the bios because all the real support is for ultra and sli boards. Anyways this thread is about a new PSU so lets keep it there. Sorry for even mentioning that.

Get the Fortron. If you wish to spend $90, Froogle the FSP Group Sparkle 550 watt for $85,
last time I checked.

My last PSU purchase was a Zippy/Emacs HG-2 6400P, 400 watt for $85+ship.
It has 12V@30A@40C, 3.3V@25A and 5V@30A. buildtoorderservers.com.

Thanx for the quick responses. It looks like a common consensus, to go with the fortron. Yea I really need to remove my psu that came with my case. POS PSU, and I'm burning to spend my cash. thanx
