PSU recommendation: Enemax or Sparlke

Im looking at the 350W version for both at newegg. I wanna spend around $60. Can anyone reccommend one over the other? I will be running P4@1.8 on a P4T-E (had a p4B266-C running at 2.4 using ez-plug, 300W enemax, but sold it and the p4t-e doesnt have ezplug).

I purchased a fan made by enermax that is adjustable. I think it is really great. I never have purchased just a power supply though.

I know Enermax makes some nice looking power supply units with adjustable Fans. They have units with 2 fans that pull air straight up from underneath them.

thanks... can someone else help me out. With my current 300W Enemex, my 12V+ line would dip to around 11.4 causing some instability with my old p4b266-C. So i definatly need more power. I just need to know what brand to get.

I've owned both a 300 watt Sparkle and a 431 watt Enermax. The Enermax is a nice PSU with lots of connectors, an adjustable speed fan, etc., however I've found that when not modded it is liable to have low -5 volt rail issues. The Sparkle, on the other hand, was a decent amount less expensive and performed like a champ, even powering dual athlons, a GeForce, and a load of peripherals. Both are decent PSU's, however my vote leans toward the Sparkle.

Antec / Channel Well is a solid choice from newegg. The +5 is typically right on the money, and the +12 is usually around 11.9. I am not very fond of the long wires that the Enermax uses.

Be sure and check the wattage rating of the 3v and 5v rail (combined) at AMD's site, so you are sure to get the best psu whichever brand you choose .............. different model numbers = different combined ratings and you can go from 165w up to 220w by just a letter or number in the model number of the psu that you choose.

OOps............. you need a P4 psu ........... I still think the ratings at the AMD site are useful for judging one psu over the other.

I have used all 3.
Sparkle 400W was a solid PSU but it was noisy. If you can replace the stock fan with a panaflo L1A, it would be a good choice.
The Enermax 431W I currently use is also a great PS. Some people have reported problems with the 5V rail but I didn't use the epox MB which had problems so don't know about that. The long wires tend to be a problem if you have a small or mid tower case. It clutters the case unnessarily.
Antec 400W is probably the best of the three. It is just as quiet as the enermax and very steady output.
