I have this PSU and am very pleased with it. It is very quiet, stable, and efficient. Because it is more efficient than the Fortron that you linked to in your post, it will generate less heat and cost you less $$ to operate. I would recommend it.

Thanks for all the quick replies. The system im building shouldnt be too demanding of the powersupply: e6400, x1950pro, one hard drive, one dvd burner. And like i said i dont need sli or crossfire so i think im gonna go with the seasonic its only 430 but should be enough for my needs?

Just think in 6 to 9 months when you want to upgrade your video card or mabe overclock you cpu. Your 1950 pro and your cpu will be low end and the upgrade will cost you another power supply. I'd say buy a power supply that will handle a 8800gtx and your cpu overclocked to 3.0. 500 watts with a 35 amp 12v rail.

I love my 500w seasonic S12, I think it was 105 dollars on newegg. Edit: Nvm i got it for 115, but it's running at 120 atm. It's 25 dollars more then the 430, quite a bit (25% afterall) but I'd still get it...500w is a nicer step up from 430 if you',ll upgrade in the future. If you explicitly dont plan on it then nevermind.

By "Very Highly Reviewed, and Recommended........ " I'll assume you are referring to Jonny Guru's review. Yes I've read it and I don't agree; it's a decent PSU for sure but nothing spectacular and there are without a doubt numerous better choices for the money.

When you say you "don't agree" are you just being stubborn and not excepting that it might be a high quality product because it's not one of your pet brands, or do you have some kind of empirical evidence that contradicts Jonny Guru's extensively researched/tested review?

My reasons are as follows.

- No power factor
- Lower-end components Fuhjyyu and cheapie fans
- So-so efficiency
- Boarder line generic source, what dose Sunbeam know about PSUs??

Jonny dose a great review I just interpret the results differently.

That is purely a Rectal Extraction....... Your Own Clueless Commentary..

Basis Of Fact....Engage Brain Before Keyboard......

Using that Logic what do the The Memory Suppliers know about PSU's ? Not Much... but their branding results in sales.....

The Sunbeam rated Highly across all the other areas.... and the Test Bench which is most Important... For $ 80.00.... a 550watt Modular Supply that has the Feature set that it has is outstanding....Not every power supply is perfect, but not all of us need a perfect power supply. Sometimes, a mere 550W is all we need. What's important is that the power supply we choose to supply that power provides stable and clean power. The Sunbeamtech NUUO 550W does, and gives us many practical features and all at a very fair price.

With a Modular Supply.... If You do Crack a Wire.... you replace it... with a Hard Wired Supply... It becomes a Butcher Job....

It's amazing what people extrapolate from one of my reviews. It's like they only read what they want to believe.

Not to crap on your opinion of me, my review or the Sunbeamtech NUUO PSU, Mr. Fox, but I never said the Sunbeamtech was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Not even close to it.

It's a good PSU for what it is. An inexpensive modular. But like Operandi said... it's nothing spectacular.

Now as far as Operandi's list of "numerous better choices for the money." I'll stand by for that. Because I don't know many modular PSU's for $65. And I don't know many PSU's I'd "trust" that are only $65 either.

$100 budget? Bunch of choices. $65 budget? No. And don't say FSP Saga... I've had bad experiences with that. And an Xclio Good Power? Seriously, tell me how that is "better." ;)
