Its been a while since I bought a PSU but I have 2 7900GTXs on the way that should be here friday and I am going to need more than ~400 watts.

Heres the system

Some knida DFI mobo. not really sure what it is and dont feel like taking off the side panel to look.

A64 3200 939 at 2.5GHz

2GB of ram (OCZ plat rev2 maybe?)

1 36GB raptor, 2 16GB Maxtors, 1 250GB something HDD

A soundblaster audgity card

A ATI TV tuner

Some CD drive

2 7900GTXs 512mb video cards.

Basically im looken for something that will run this perfectly and that will handle an upgrade or two. Prob in the ~600W range but im not sure.

EDIT: budget is under $200 USD

Never heard of Enhance. Maybe ive been out of this for too long. Also if you can find one thats modular you get an extra pat on the back! 🙂

I'd recommend the 700w OCZ GameXStream. I've personally seen it running an Opteron 170, X1900XTXs in Crossfire, 150GB Raptors in RAID0, 2GB of OCZ Platinum, etc. etc.

And with OCZs support you can go wrong in my opinion...

Like I said Enhance is one of the top PSU manufactures, not a rebadger like Coolermaser and OCZ. They don't advertise because they don't have to, which is why most have not heard of them. You may or heard of Silverstone however, and odds are it was built for by Enhance.

They do have at least one modular offering but I'm not sure on the model number.

ENS-0560G, but out of the box it might not work with 2 7900GTXs.

Why?

And how do you know *fists on hips*

The ST60F IS the ENS-0560G. They are one & the same.
Enhance is not pursuing certs and the market in an active fashion because Silverstone is
pissed about these units riding on the shirt tails of thier ad dollar. Tension is high between these two. Don't ask how I know........

WOW Howard I was skeptical about these Enermax PSUs. I decided to go for it a few months ago and bought this 400W Enermax.Enermax 400

Totally impressive. Quiet. Solidly built.

Concerning Enhance supposedly not advertising becuase they do not have too.

Thats partially correct. They don`t need to advertise at all in the United states becuase they do plenty of advertising in there asian markets.

To prevent this from happening again, we will make the following change to ST65ZF and ST60F:
The ENS-0560G won't be getting the same change.

enhance essentially makes both those psu's. Some are then shipped off to a silverstone packaging plant, given a sliverstone sticker and shipped back off and sold at higher prices. If the silverstone is getting changed, then that means that the enhance is changing so that the silverstone changes as well You seems skeptical about the 0560g. Have you asked anyone who has one about it? I've gotten nothing but rave reviews.

Silverstone could have changed the settings on the current limiters or just used different
modular cabling ends or both. I think Enhance has been served a warning from Silverstone's legal dept. 😉

I won't go SLI ever with mine. I might use a mid-range gaming card in one slot and a Matrox in the other.
I'm glad I have a 0560 awaiting the next build.

You CAN go wrong?

That artical has been posted and talked about several times. Etasis makes the Zeus, Enhance builds the Stirder series. The Zeus is set-up more for a server, the Strider more like a high end workstation PSU.

The 0560 will run SLI.

Are you certain about that?

It was someone at Silverstone in Taiwan that had told me that the ST60F was the same as the ST65ZF, but was "downgraded" in total wattage capability due to the redesign of the heatsinks (too allow proper cooling with a downdraft 120MM fan.)

I no longer have the ST60F here to do a side by side comparison with the ST65ZF I have here, but looking at some photos of the two side by side, the two look identical inside... save the heatsinks, of course.
