psu question

ok...
my friend says (i used to trust him, now im not so sure) that most computers will be sufficiently powered by a psu w/ 10A on 12V
last i heard, 20A+ was good for 12V
who is right?

Most computers = what? Dells? Office computers?

Or most computers = the average AT build?

by most, i think he means an average computer capable of playing some games on low or medium settings

On older mobos where the CPU is NOT powered from the 12V rail then 10A might be adequate (I'd like to see at least 15 personally. But on the newer mobos that power the CPU and some high end video cards from the 12V rail, then 20A or more is becoming the norm. IAC, you have to match the PSU to the intended load and circumstances - going by any rule of thumb is contraindicated...
