PSU Query

Heya.

I'm putting together a build and want to know if the 450W PSU I'm looking at will have enough gas or would I need to get a wattier one.

The setup I'm looking at is:
AMD64 3200+
Asus A8N-Sli Deluxe (supposedly available here in NZ next week!)
1GB RAM (prolly Corsair TwinX or GeIL Ultra Platinum)
Gainward 6600GT vid card (one at the moment, prolly the second next year)
3x Seagate 80GB SATA HDDs
Audigy2 ZS

Will 450W be enough? 😕

Cheers

If it's a nice branded PSU, probably yes.

A Tagan 480W, OCZ Powerstream, Hiper 480W would be better though.

DON'T SKIMP! In the UK, we rave about the Tagan as being one of the best performance to £ you can get, before you start getting to £100 OCZ Powerstreams. If you can get Hipers, they are generally cheaper but still high quality.

Just don't go cheapy, Qtec or similar. Qtec really are shocking.
