I'm running a Duron 600 @ 900
256mb PC-100 SDRAM
2 Hard Disks
A Pioneer DVD ROM and a Plextor SCSI CDROM
Voodoo3 3000
Intel NIC
Adaptec 2940UW SCSI Adapter
SB Live Platinum
2 Case Fans

all on a 250w PSU is this enough as i've read a few times over that people recomend a 300w PSU for an duron/athlon system. My PSU is athlon certified, but i'm running a far amount of devices. And i've had the system switch off on its own on 2 ocassions when doing a cd -> cd copy on the fly. Any ideas? would anyone recomend a 300w PSU?

Cheers,

Andeh

yes, it's a good idea to have a good safety margin with lots of hardware, but can't really say if the cause of your switch off problem was due to overload ie your present psu may be perfectly adequate for your system!
