PSU lead usage

I have an ultra x-connect psu and im wondering if im supposed to use as many seperate leads for components as possible or if its alright for me to use the large 3 moles daisy chain "module" to power most of the devices in my case. I've heard you not supposed to daisy chain in order to get a free molex for a video card, its supposed to be its own lead, does this mean that diasy chaining a system off one of the psu's leads is very bad?

In theory, it's better to put more sensitive devices (like your video card and hard drives) on their own cables. Devices like fans or CCFLs can generate a lot of electrical noise on the power lines, and devices like optical drives draw a lot of power when they spin up, which can cause momentary voltage sags on the line when you start reading from or writing to a disk.

Of course, that's all theory. It might work just fine even if you put everything on one or two cables. A good part of it also depends on how good the PSU is.

My sympathies re. the X Connect... And YES, you should distribute the load among several power wires.
