Yep, the ever important PSU. I've narrowed it down to these three and I'm having a tough time deciding. I'm not too familiar with the XCLio brand name. The other two are the Enermax Liberty and SeaSonic M12.

I'm an Enermax fan myself, but Seasonic is definitely just as good. I would go with either.

The Enermax is a very solid unit, don't have much experience with XClio (made by Channel Well Tech if I'm not mistaken who also make some units for Antec and Thermaltake). The Seasonic is a great unit but I would recommend the Corsair 520W (its the same unit as the Seasonic M12 but with some improvements).

The Xclio is OEMed by Enhance and is a good, inexpensive unit. I would have it over the Enermax and the M12 over either of them if money was not tight.
Libertys are known to have flash banged, taking out no other hardware, when pushed hard.

The Corsair is a VERY good unit with a 5 year warranty vs the Seasonic's 3 year.
Seasonic builds the Corsair units.
Newegg has the worst pricing on PSUs. Froogle is your friend. ;)

True, but teh Egg has probably the best search engine and product specs pages around. So it does have its uses, even if you never intend to actually buy from them :D.

I also suggest looking at the corsair, though I have rarely heard complaints about either enermax or seasonic. Is this for your current rig or something new and if its for your current one do you have any other upgrades planned?

I suggest you take a look at the Mushkin 580w PS. I just finished doing my research and I wanted a rock solid PS that was modular for my new parts (E6420, 8800GTS 640MB) and I finally choose the Muskin but it was a very close call to the Corsair. You can't go wrong with either one.

You can order them directly from Mushkin for $92 bucks Mushkin

The only difference is the MadDog PSU owner will need the warranty...

tcG that is a great resource I should have mentioned it. I was willing to give up very minor rail stability for a modular supply but that was just my choice. Your point about if you don't need modular is dead on. I really do love Zippy's but they can be a pain to get and often pretty darn loud. Now that I'm getting older and not overclocking things to the moon and back I'll take quiet over 100% ripple free.
