Hi,
Im buying a new PC and case and was wondering if a HEC 300W power supply will be enough for:
MSI neo2-FIS2R 865
P4 3.0
512 Kingstom CL2.5
2X40 PATA maxtor connected to promise raid controller
1X40 PATA maxtor connected to IDE
DVD Burner connected to IDE
CDR connected to IDE
160 gb SATA
Radeon 9700 pro
2X 120mm Fans
scanner, mouse camera connected to usb's

Thanks in advance

It might be enough, just about.
I have the same PSU with an
XP 1900+
Radeon 9800
1GB Generic PC2100 RAM
2x80GB HDD's (PATA)
1xDVD-+RW, 1xCD-RW
4x80mm fans
1xSB Audigy, 1xEthernet card, 1x56k modem, 1xoptical mouse, 1xcard reader.

It works fine for me, but if you do experience any issues, you should get a better PSU, as the 12v rail on the PSU is 15A and the P4 might need more juice than that, but check you pick up a good PSU (one with lots of amps on the 12v line)
(And post your experience too, I might get a P4 2.8 and new mobo/RAM soon, so it's all useful stuff 🙂)

If you don't want to take the risk though, I'm sure you'll recieve plenty of recommendations of alternatives.

Well, the reason Im asking is bcz Im getting a compucase PC case that has the HEC PSU included.
So, I thought that if its not enough I would get a different case that has no PSU included and get it seperatly.
