I am looking to put together a new computer since my old one is just about dead. I haven't kept up with the hardware scene for years so I'd like to get some opinions on power supplies.

The processor I'm looking at is an Intel i5-750 Lynnfield 2.66 GHz. Besides this, I will have an ATI 4870 video card, a 250 GB, 500 GB, and 1 TB hard drives, a DVD burner, and a regular DVD-ROM drive.

Any opinions on the size of power supply? A 700W or 750W is my first thought but I'm not sure. I know I don't need some 1000W PSU and I've always gotten by with a lower rated power supply when everyone else is spending cash on some top-of-the-line unit.

Right now my current system is an Intel C2D 4300 1.80 GHz, the 4870 video card, 250 GB and 500 GB hard drives, and it is running on a 450W PSU.

So, just wondering if you guys with more expertise than I do had any suggestions on a power supply for this system. Thanks much.
