psu change procedure

Hi, I am upgrading my psu from a generic 300w to antec true blue 480W for my athlon 2600, now is there anything I need to know before I took out my old psu and change it to a new one?
Like which cable to plug in/out first, or whether the psu has to be connected to the wall, or maybe a discharge first?

Any suggestion is extremely welcome 🙂
