Most likly building a new system with these specs:
q6600
2-6 hd's
bfg8800gtx oc2
and either gigabyte or asus mobo
and some fans like 5

according to john the q6600 is 200w @ 3.6@1.45 volt
bit-tech claims like 315w full load on the gtx

So my question is how big do i need to go, and is that draw really true for the gfx card..

obviously i was initially looking at the corsair 620w, but i wanna make sure i keep total load power draw under what a psu's max would be

and i have zero plans to run sli

Also, if theres any valid reasons to not run the gtx card or somesuch by all means post :p

thx

well with only 1-2 Harddrives the HX620 would probably do...if you are going to have that many HDDs I would go for the Seasonic M12 700 watt, Antec Trupowee Quatro 850Watt, a PC Power and Cooling Silencer 750...one of the Silverstone Seventeam based 750Watts....

so basically 700 would be what i should look for, even at the 2 hd spot. for more head-room

so seasonic m-12 700w or something as the like.
